A sewage lifting pump is typically used for:

- A toilet ,shower and/or sink in basements below sewer level and

- A toilet ,shower and/or sink installed in connection with the renovation or modernization of existing buildings, where the location may be remote from the main sewer pipe so that a natural slope cannot be established.

It is only suitable for pumping waste water from a sink or shower as well as sewage water from a toilet containing toilet paper and feces. The pumping of liquids containing other material may void warranty.
